WICHS Service - WIA Youth
Workforce Investment Act
Over ICHS’ 40 year history, the agency has focused on economically disadvantaged youth and adults who are in need of a first or second chance opportunity to become self sufficient citizens. Its mission is to provide education and jobs to low income and at risk Iowans.
What is WIA?
The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) program is available to youth ages 14 through 21 who meet income guidelines established by the Department of Labor. WIA Case Managers assist youth in the areas of educational goals, career exploration, pre-employment training, and employment planning. Counties served are Polk, Story, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Warren, Dallas & Boone.
